What is Teeth-in-an-Hour™ ?

While dentures offer patients a quick method of restoring their smile, they are essentially temporary, and can also result in poor fitting. Additionally, while dental implants are permanent, the healing time required can be unsuitable for patients needing to replace missing teeth in a hurry. Now, patients with missing teeth have a tooth replacement option that is both time effective, and permanent. Developed by Nobel Biocare, one of the two leading dental equipment manufcaturers in the world, this process uses a CT Scan of the jaw bone to map out the placement of dental implants beforehand. Because the surgery is planned ahead of time, surgery time is decreased to just one hour. Additionally, there is less pain, swelling, or bruising. Once the implants are placed, the crown is attached immediately, and the patient can leave with a completely restored smile.
The Teeth-in-an-Hour™ Process
The first stage of our Teeth in an Hour procedure involves a CT Scan of your jawbone. This CT Scan is used to create a 3D model of the oral structures. Using virtual software, ideal placement for dental implants and surgical “guides” are created before the surgery takes place. Two to four weeks is generally needed for the surgery to be completely mapped and for the custom crowns to be created.
Once the surgery has been mapped and we receive the crowns from our laboratory, your second dental appointment is scheduled. During this appointment we will place the dental implants and immediately attach the crown. Within the hour, you are free to enjoy your restored smile. As with any invasive procedure, follow up maintenance may be required depending on your case. Our dentist will suggest the frequency of follow up appointments.
