• Mr. Manu Mathew

Ophthalmic care at the Alexandra Private Hospital is overseen by Mr. Manu Mathew, Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon with the Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. Mr. Mathew is a specialist in cornea, and glaucoma surgery, with a special interest in oculoplastic surgery, strabismus, and medical retina.

Mr. Mathew is a graduate of JIPMER, Pondicherry, India (University of Madras), and trained subsequently at a number of teaching hospitals, including the Tennent Institute, and Queen’s Medical Centre (University of Nottingham). He is experienced in the management of complex cases in his sub-specialties, cornea and glaucoma, for which he is the clinical lead of the ophthalmic service at the Chesterfield Royal Hospital NHS Foundation Trust.

Mr. Manu Mathew holds the following accreditations:

MBBS, MSc, MMedSci, DipNB (Ophth), MNAMS, FRCS (Ed., Glas.), FRCOphth.

He is a member of many professional and academic organisations, including:
